BUDIMIR: WE HAVE TRAINED UNITS AT SERVICE OF SRPSKA'S INSTITUTIONS AND CITIZENS

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir stated that the MoI has well-trained units, and that the "Gendarmerie Multi-Skill Competition" will serve as a good opportunity to test their readiness.

"This competition will further enhance their readiness in carrying out tasks and in protecting the institutions and citizens of Srpska," Budimir told the press in Zalužani outside Banja Luka, where he officially opened the event. He noted that members of the Gendarmerie, the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, and the First Battalion of the Sixth Infantry Brigade of the Third /Republika Srpska/ Infantry Regiment will be showcasing their skills through this sports competition until Friday, when the awards ceremony is scheduled. The "Gendarmerie Multi-Skill Competition" is being held for the first time, modeled after competitions of the world's best special units, and involves overcoming a variety of tactical and live-fire tasks. The competition is organised by the Gendarmerie and is taking place at the Training Centre.
