DODIK: IT IS NECESSARY TO ESTABLISH A NEW ENTITY WITHIN FBiH AND TO PREVENT OUTVOTING

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 13 /SRNA/ - SNSD president Milorad Dodik said that BiH needs to be organized as a country with three entities, that is, two within the Federation of BiH, and that the election law needs to be changed so that no constituent people can be outvoted.
“The constitutional crisis is a crisis of the system, and it came about as a result of the decisions made by Christian Schmidt, but the responsibility lies with the Bosniak representatives,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka after a meeting between SNSD and HDZ delegations. He emphasized that the Bosniaks seek revenge against the Serbs and Croats, noting that their political representatives are incapable of building a state. “They cannot build either a multiethnic or a unitary state. Even if they were left to organize it on their own 24 percent, they wouldn’t succeed. We don’t want to be collateral damage. Republika Srpska will continue pursuing its own policy,” Dodik said. He stated that today’s meeting also discussed the future of BiH, noting that the HDZ is well aware of the SNSD’s policy, which opposes outvoting. “Our colleagues from the HDZ know that we support efforts to prevent the outvoting of any constituent people. Everything Christian Schmidt has done is a caricature and must be annulled. BiH consists of two entities and three constituent peoples, and no one should be subjected to outvoting,” Dodik said. He emphasized that the meeting with HDZ representatives is one in a series of ongoing talks and that it is necessary to shape policies for the coming period. “We have made all our proposals within the framework of the Constitution and are striving to ensure that everything functions accordingly, as well as to adopt regulations important for BiH’s European path. The SNSD rejects any accusations of being an obstacle to that process, because it is not,” Dodik said. He said that the BiH institutions’ budget was also discussed and expressed regret that the document had not yet been adopted. “We cannot accept the unconstitutional provisions that have been proposed, and we stand by that position. We believe it is detrimental for the BiH institutions to operate without a budget,” Dodik said. He believes that the time has come for new development documents for the budget. Dodik added that cooperation at the level of Republika Srpska was also discussed, assessing that it is good and will continue.
