AMIDŽIĆ: BOSNIAKS' MOVES WILL MAKE SRPSKA INDEPENDENT
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 15 /SRNA/ - Moves by the Bosniaks could make Republika Srpska independent if they create a situation in which it becomes impossible for Serbs to live in BiH, said Srđan Amidžić, Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers.
Amidžić stated that the leaders of Bosniak parties will never accept the Dayton BiH, as they want one president, one government, one ministry, and one company for the energy sector — but forget that it was the Serbs who brought Republika Srpska into BiH. "There are certain issues we can agree on, but now they want to create a system of governance through which they would have control both in and over Republika Srpska. That's impossible! For what reason? Did someone give Republika Srpska to the Serbs as a gift?" Amidžić asked. He pointed out that, under the guise of advancing BiH's path toward EU membership, new overarching laws are constantly being imposed, and that the Bosniaks want institutions with centralized decision-making, expecting to be the ones in control, while Republika Srpska is supposed to wait to be granted something. Amidžić said that most of the key matters in BiH had been changed by high representatives and that he cannot accept the idea of someone taking Republika Srpska, which was incorporated into BiH, and transferring it to the BiH level. He stated that it is a fact that the Bosniaks want to eliminate the Serbs and Croats, which is being resisted in Srpska, and that BiH will begin to function once the OHR /Office of the High Representative/ ceases to exist. Amidžić pointed out that a pattern is being created, allowing anyone to be sent to prison through the Court and the Prosecutor's Office, even for putting up a billboard. He said that as a minister, he does not harm the Dayton BiH, but protects the interests of Republika Srpska, which brought its property and land into BiH. Amidžić said that Dodik was convicted because he defended the land registry and every single Serb town that was incorporated into BiH.
