INSURANCE SECTOR SHOULD HAVE STRONGER ROLE IN FINANCING BUDGET
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 16 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska Zora Vidović stated at the Insurance Days of Republika Srpska Conference that the Government is closely monitoring the insurance sector, which has made significant progress, but that further efforts are needed to ensure its stronger participation in financing the republic budget and public funds.
"The Government is carefully observing the insurance sector to encourage the development of other types of insurance, which is why the laws have been amended," said Vidović. She pointed out that major progress has been achieved in the insurance sector this year, emphasizing that digitalization brings much greater transparency and will increase policyholders' trust. "In the coming period, we must focus on creating a broader range of insurance products in Republika Srpska and ensure that this sector has a more significant role in financing the budget and public funds," Vidović stressed.
