CREATING ENVIRONMENT WHERE INSURANCE IS NOT OBLIGATION BUT OPPORTUNITY FOR INNOVATION AND EMPLOYMENT

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 16 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said at the Insurance Days of Republika Srpska Conference that it is necessary to create an environment in which insurance is not merely an obligation, but also an opportunity for innovation, employment, and stability, while addressing numerous challenges at the same time.

Minić emphasized that insurance is one of the pillars of financial stability and must become even more transparent. "The Government of Republika Srpska recognizes the strategic importance of the insurance sector. In this regard, we will continue to cooperate with the Insurance Agency, insurance companies, and the academic community to create an environment in which insurance is not only an obligation, but also an opportunity for innovation, employment, stability, and the protection of what is most valuable," Minić said. According to him, the insurance market demonstrated an impressive level of stability and growth in the previous year, with all insurance companies achieving positive financial results. Minić added that he was pleased to see that grey market activities in the insurance sector have decreased. He also pointed out that the Government participated in covering insurance premiums for agricultural production, recognizing that this segment, being exposed to open-air conditions, is the most vulnerable. "I am pleased that the number of agricultural insurance policyholders has increased," Minić said.
