GOGANOVIĆ AT A MEETING WITH GINKEL: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE RESPECTS DAYTON AGREEMENT
SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 16 /SRNA/ - At a meeting today with the chargé d’affaires of the U.S. Embassy in BiH, John Ginkel, Deputy Defense Minister in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović highlighted the importance of all domestic and international actors respecting the Dayton Peace Agreement, and stressed that decisions in BiH should be made through agreement and mutual respect.
"I also emphasized our commitment to the European path," Goganović told SRNA following Ginkel’s inaugural visit to the Ministry of Defense in the Council of Ministers He informed Ginkel of the ongoing political crisis in BiH and that Republika Srpska representatives are striving for de-escalation and dialogue. Goganović also noted that the security situation in BiH is stable, while global conflicts and their potential impact on the region are being closely monitored. "In this context, I highlighted the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at ending ongoing conflicts worldwide," Goganović said. He also stressed that the United States is a key strategic international partner of BiH.
