DODIK CONGRATULATES ORBÁN: BUDAPEST DESERVES TO BE BEACON
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 17 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik congratulated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Hungary being chosen as the host for a meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States, emphasizing that Budapest deserves to be a beacon in times of uncertainty.
"I congratulate Orbán on Hungary being chosen to host the Putin - Trump meeting. This is recognition for both him and Hungary, who stand with Republika Srpska and our shared values – peace, understanding, and normal international relations," Dodik stated. According to Dodik, Viktor Orbán's politics are not based on violence or imposition, but on a vision of dialogue, mutual respect, and reaching solutions. "That is why Budapest deserves to be a beacon in times of uncertainty – a place where bridges are built and walls disappear," Dodik posted on X. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated yesterday that he had a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump, and that preparations have begun for a meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States in Hungary. He emphasized that preparations are underway for a US–Russia peace summit.
