GOLUBOVIĆ: NEW LAWS IN PRESCHOOL, PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION TO BE INTRODUCED SOON

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 18 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Minister of Education and Culture Borivoje Golubović announced that new draft laws on preschool, primary, and secondary education will soon be presented to lawmakers.

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 18 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Minister of Education and Culture Borivoje Golubović announced that new draft laws on preschool, primary, and secondary education will soon be presented to lawmakers.

"We are moving forward with a proposal for a new Law on Preschool Education, which may already be on the agenda at the next government session. It will include a number of new provisions. We also have three laws in draft form - the Law on Primary Education, the Law on Secondary Education, and the draft Law on Adult Education. A new Law on Culture will also be considered soon", Golubović said in the latest episode of SRNA's podcast. He emphasized that Republika Srpska is working diligently to improve the education and cultural sectors, following the goals set by Prime Minister Savo Minić for the first 100 days of the new Government. "We have submitted our work plan and regularly report to the Prime Minister's Office on completed tasks, as well as on future activities", Golubović stated. CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE MINISTRY SUPPORT Golubović said that public calls in the field of culture have been announced, including a complex artistic project for young visual artists under 35, and plans for technical upgrades of the republic's cultural institutions. "We have a public competition for the stimulation of the best literary works, and several other calls in the field of culture will follow", he added. The minister noted that museums in Republika Srpska will continue to receive institutional support, recognizing the challenges faced by the Museum of Republika Srpska. "Due to identity and historical reasons, it is essential to protect and strengthen cultural institutions", Golubović stressed. He concluded that efforts will continue to improve the functioning of cultural institutions and expand cooperation in the cultural sphere. "DAYS OF SERBIA IN REPUBLIKA SRPSKA" - A SIGNIFICANT EVENT FOR CULTURAL COOPERATION Golubović underlined the importance of cooperation with Serbia, noting that the event "Days of Serbia in Republika Srpska" is currently taking place, and invited citizens to visit the exhibitions and cultural programs organized on this occasion. He recalled that the event "Days of Republika Srpska in Serbia" had previously been held and said that a framework for strengthening cultural ties has already been established. "Here's an interesting fact - a Serb from Vranje, an Orthodox believer with the same cultural heritage, may never have met someone from Mrkonjić Grad. Our goal is to build cultural cooperation and connect our people across borders", Golubović emphasized. He also pointed out that both Serbia and Republika Srpska have adopted laws on the protection and use of the Serbian language and Cyrillic script. "We cherish that tradition, and it is one of the most important elements in preserving our identity and cultural heritage on both sides of the Drina River", Golubović said. Speaking about international cooperation, he highlighted the strong partnership with the Russian Federation in film production. "This cooperation allows our co-production companies to gain recognition and access additional funding for such projects. We also have a declaration on cultural cooperation with the Eurasian region, and our films participate in that framework. Furthermore, we have cooperation with Serbia and Montenegro, and I recently visited Hungary to take part in an event dedicated to our cultural heritage", Golubović concluded.
