RUSSIAN TOURISTS INTERESTED IN VISITING SRPSKA

ST. PETERSBURG, OCTOBER 24 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska Denis Šulić met today with the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg Yevgeny Pankevich, and the Director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Alexey Valykov, to discuss the possibility of establishing an air route between Saint Petersburg and Banja Luka.

ST. PETERSBURG, OCTOBER 24 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska Denis Šulić met today with the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg Yevgeny Pankevich, and the Director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Alexey Valykov, to discuss the possibility of establishing an air route between Saint Petersburg and Banja Luka.



During the meeting held in St. Petersburg, the Russian side expressed the interest of Russian citizens in visiting Republika Srpska, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Srpska announced. It was noted at the meeting that the cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation is at a high level, and that the Tourist Organization of St. Petersburg will participate in the International Tourism Fair in Banja Luka, which is expected to be held early next year. The Director of the Saint Petersburg Economic Forum handed Šulić an official invitation to participate in the next forum and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between Republika Srpska's institutions and the forum’s organizational committee and leadership. Šulić met with Pankevich and Valykov on the second day of his official visit to Saint Petersburg. On the sidelines of the meeting, Šulić also held discussions with the Ministers of Tourism of Venezuela and Chechnya about the challenges their countries face in positioning tourism as a development opportunity for a country, promoting tourist offers, and attracting visitors from around the world, the statement added.
