CVIJANOVIĆ: ISSUE OF NEGOTIATORS IS EASY TO RESOLVE

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 25 /SRNA/ – The Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, said that the issue of appointing negotiators with the EU was easy to resolve, suggesting that the Federation of BiH could appoint one or two negotiators, while Republika Srpska would appoint one.

"This is easy to solve — they appoint one or two negotiators for the Federation of BiH /since they probably wouldn’t agree on just one/, and we appoint one for Republika Srpska /since we can agree easily/", Cvijanović wrote on the social network X. She added that the negotiators would work together. "Neither do we decide who their negotiator will be, personally or by party, nor do they decide that for us. That way, all these meaningless discussions and conditions would stop and it would finally reflect the true nature of BiH", Cvijanović stated, commenting on the position of Saša Magazinović, head of the SDP Club in the BiH House of Representatives, who opposes appointing someone from SNSD as the chief negotiator. Cvijanović emphasized that the negotiators could rotate between the roles of chief negotiator and deputy, and make decisions by consensus. "Problem solved. Now I expect to hear why this supposedly can’t work, and why it’s better for Magazinović to keep imagining that he’ll be the one deciding things. P.S. If you don’t want to proceed as was initially agreed, then you can do it this way, but there are other formulas as well", Cvijanović concluded.
