PALE, OCTOBER 25 /SRNA/ – The President Milorad Dodik has stated today in Pale that Republika Srpska has repositioned its standing, which is now significantly stronger compared to ten months ago, when it was on the verge of liquidation.

Speaking at the ceremony of unveiling a monument dedicated to the creators and defenders of Republika Srpska, Dodik emphasized that "what is about to come will be good for Republika Srpska." "Republika Srpska is here to show and prove that the survival of the Serb people is possible here, as well as for other peoples – but all must respect Republika Srpska," Dodik underlined. He said that Republika Srpska does not seek confrontation with anyone, but only seeks to be allowed to work and develop. "Now we know what and how we are defending, we know where we stand and how far we’ve come. Republika Srpska is the perspective for the Serb people. Republika Srpska is a permanent category, and no one can deny it," Dodik stressed. He added that, with the surge of Islamism, Christians are endangered, and that anyone who fails to understand this cannot be engaged in social and political work in this region. Dodik said that time can no longer be wasted on the illusion of unity, noting that absolute unity is impossible, and that what is needed is a strong and competent majority which Republika Srpska has. The president also expressed concern over the situation in Serbia, stressing that Serbia must grow stronger.
