TREBEVIĆ DRAPED IN AUTUMN COLOURS
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 29 /SRNA/ – In recent days, Mount Trebević has been glowing in its full autumn beauty, painted in golden and red shades of the forests that surround Istočno Sarajevo and Sarajevo.
A favorite excursion spot – Trebević, with its tranquility and panoramic view of the city, offers a perfect natural retreat just a short distance from the urban area. The highest peak of Trebević rises 1,629 meters above sea level, providing a panoramic view of the entire Sarajevo valley and the surrounding mountains. In addition to its natural beauty, the mountain is also known for its Olympic bobsled track and remnants of sports infrastructure from the 1984 Winter Olympic Games, as well as for its many hiking and cycling trails. Today, Trebević is a protected natural area and an important part of Istočno Sarajevo’s tourist offering. Thanks to its proximity to the city and good access roads, the mountain is increasingly attracting lovers of nature, sports, and photography, offering an authentic outdoor experience just a few kilometers away from the city crowds.
