CROATIAN HISTORIAN: TODAY WE HAVE USTASHAS BIGGER THAN USTASHAS THEMSELVES

ZAGREB, OCTOBER 29 /SRNA/ - Today, Croatia has Ustashas bigger than the Ustashas themselves, they are working to make Ustasha ideology an acceptable form of Croatian patriotism, said Croatian historian Hrvoje Klasić.

Commenting on the holding of a round table in the Croatian Parliament at which the number of victims in the Ustasha concentration camp Jasenovac was denied, Klasić said that what is happening in Croatian society is a shame, but also illegal because denying or significantly minimizing the genocide is a criminal offense punishable by up to three years in prison. "Today, we have bigger Ustashas than the Ustashas themselves," Klasić is convinced. He pointed out that it is incredible that those who participated in the round table have such courage. "But why not, in Croatia like this it is mainstream. And I would not say that it is revisionism, it is open Ustasha ideology. What is being done here is to try to accept Ustasha ideology as an acceptable form of Croatian patriotism", Klasić believes.
