KALUŽA: REPUBLIKA SRPSKA IS PARTNER TO WORLD POWERS; SECURITY COUNCIL CONFIRMED VALIDITY OF ITS POLICIES
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 31 /SRNA/ – International relations expert Lučiano Kaluža stated that important messages were sent today from New York, from the UN Security Council session, confirming the correctness of Republika Srpska’s policies, which have long pointed out the harmfulness of foreign interventionism and the actions of Christian Schmidt.
"The three world powers have expressed support for the policy of the current leadership of Republika Srpska and its efforts for the consistent implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement. They have recognized Republika Srpska as a partner", Kaluža said. He added that the United States also sent another important message by acknowledging the good intentions of Republika Srpska. "This represents a shift in U.S. foreign policy toward BiH under the administration of President Donald Trump. Their statement at the Security Council session clearly showed that. What’s crucial is that they said they will no longer be involved in state- and nation-building, but will instead support local structures. In BiH, that means support for the entities and the three constituent peoples", Kaluža emphasized. He stressed that this also confirmed the correctness of Republika Srpska’s policy of commitment to the Dayton Peace Agreement. "For me, the key fact is that, for the first time, we have the three largest world powers, the United States, China, and Russia, either refraining from supporting Christian Schmidt and the OHR or, quite contrary, strongly criticizing them", Kaluža noted. He added that Schmidt himself created chaos and plunged BiH into difficulties, and pointed out that today’s Security Council session demonstrated that a new era is coming for BiH. "Republika Srpska is now a partner to the United States, China, and Russia. I believe that some European countries, although they did not show it today, will definitely follow the U.S. lead, with which they have strong ties. All the policies that have sought to create a unitary BiH have clearly suffered a defeat at this session", Kaluža concluded.
