ĐORĐE PERIĆ WINS IN PRAGUE FOR THE FIFTH TIME
BIJELJINA, NOVEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - Đorđe Perić has once again triumphed at the prestigious International Festival "Accordion Days" in Prague, winning first place for the fifth time at this demanding international competition, which gathered around 250 participants from 15 countries.
Republika Srpska was represented by talented students of the Kornelije Stanković Music School from Bijeljina. "Among them, the true star of the Festival was Đorđe Perić, who claimed the winner's title for the fifth time, confirming his status as one of the most promising young artists of today," the Kornelije Stanković Music School said in a statement. In addition to Perić, Miloš Cvijić won gold in the under-9 category, while Vladimir Kurtinović took silver in the under-13 category. Perić's incredible talent, perseverance, and dedication have earned him unquestionable recognition and respect across the international accordion community, the statement said. The young musician is not only a competitor but also an inspiration and role model for young artists throughout the region, proving that with hard work and quality one can achieve top-level success on the world stage. All the contestants, including Đorđe, are students of Professor Slaviša Perić, who continuously nurtures and develops these exceptional talents. The "Accordion Days" Festival, organized by the Czech Conservatory and the Czech Accordion Association, brings together the best young accordionists from across Europe.
