ŠPIRIĆ: SNSD'S AUTHORITY COMES FROM ELECTION RESULTS
SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 3 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairperson of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Nikola Špirić stated that the contribution of SNSD's political power derives from electoral results, and pointed out that the parliamentary process continues to be blocked by those who want to show that the European path is impossible if SNSD participates in fulfilling obligations.
Špirić noted that the aim of the "Troika" parties from Sarajevo was to block everything and send a message to Brussels that progress cannot be made with SNSD and President Milorad Dodik. "SNSD does not need the support of HDZ and the Bosniak Club, and vice versa. We have constitutional contributions to defend the position of Republika Srpska, and we were here today," Špirić told reporters after there was no quorum to continue the session that had been suspended in April. Špirić expressed hope that House of Peoples Chairman Kemal Ademović will convene a collegium where serious discussions will take place on challenges, problems, and the European path. He said that everything else constitutes obstruction caused by the opposition, which is eager for power. Špirić emphasized that many laws were supposed to be on today's agenda and stressed that the narrative that SNSD and Republika Srpska are a blocking factor is exhausted. "While the global world is changing, political Sarajevo is sleeping," Špirić said, reiterating that SNSD and HDZ are not factors of obstruction.
