LJUBOJEVIĆ: DAYTON AGREEMENT HAS BEEN UNDERMINED; SRPSKA IS FIGHTING FOR PEACE AND ITS INSTITUTIONS

BELGRADE, NOVEMBER 5 /SRNA/ - Deputy Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Anja Ljubojević, said in Belgrade that it is important to talk about the Dayton Peace Agreement even 30 years after its signing, and that Republika Srpska continues to fight for the letter of the Agreement, for the protection of peace and its institutions.

“Can we even speak of the Dayton Agreement as it was 30 years ago? Absolutely not. The fact is that they undermined and destroyed it as much as possible. But we are fighting for the letter of the Dayton Agreement, not its spirit, and that remains so,” she said. Ljubojević said that it is important to discuss this issue not only in Banja Luka and Sarajevo, but also in Belgrade, Moscow, Washington, and other centers of power. “It is important to tell the world that we are victims of globalist hegemony, which has exercised its power over us for many years, but also that we are victims of a people unwilling to reach an agreement with the other two constituent peoples,” Ljubojević told reporters ahead of a gathering at the Russian House in Belgrade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Agreement. She added that /by dismissing the appeal filed by President Milorad Dodik/ the Constitutional Court once again demonstrated that it has been one of the drivers of the crisis from the very beginning. “We had somehow forgotten about it, along with Murphy, Schmidt, and other troublemakers in BiH. The Constitutional Court has been the source of many problems in BiH,” Ljubojević emphasized. She noted that the institutions of Republika Srpska, with their democratic capacities, will do everything possible to protect peace, stability, and citizens.
