DODIK: ENERGY IS FOUNDATION OF DEVELOPMENT, SRPSKA CONTINUES TO BUILD
BERKOVIĆI, NOVEMBER 6 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik has stated today that energy is the foundation of Republika Srpska's development and that the construction of the Dabar Hydropower Plant /HPP/ project is intended to ensure the entity’s long-term energy stability.
After touring the HPP Dabar headrace tunnel, Dodik emphasized that the project is not only for the benefit of the local community but also for the entire Republika Srpska. He noted that the value of this hydroenergy project is EUR 225 million. "This project must secure our future energy stability, because energy is a pillar of our development - along with agriculture and social inclusion," Dodik stressed. He said Republika Srpska must remain committed to its values in order to preserve itself. Dodik pointed out that food, energy, and education are the cornerstones of what Republika Srpska must maintain - elements that, he said, some find troubling because they demonstrate the entity's resilience and refusal to yield to pressure. "Republika Srpska is being built - it is not standing still. It leaves completed projects behind. My duty, together with my associates, is to finish this project and deliver it to the people for the future," Dodik concluded.
