FEDERATION POLITICIANS FOCUS ON SRPSKA WHILE FBiH IS SHAKEN BY SCANDALS

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 7 /SRNA/ – Although the situation in Republika Srpska is significantly better than in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/, politicians from FBiH are increasingly focusing on Srpska in an attempt to divert the attention of FBiH citizens from the major problems and scandals shaking that entity, security expert Slobodan Župljanin told SRNA.

"FBiH is struggling with numerous problems on a daily basis in various sectors. Lacking the ability to find adequate solutions, they run away from their own issues and instead try to deal with problems of those for whom they are neither competent nor relevant," Župljanin said. He believes that such a practice will not bring anything good either to the political elites or to the citizens of FBiH. "It is evident that this has intensified recently, following all the decisions and developments coming from the U.S. administration and its stance toward BiH and Republika Srpska, as well as after the session of the UN Security Council," Župljanin pointed out. According to him, the goal is to distract the citizens of the FBiH from important issues, including the fact that there is no longer the same level of international support that once existed for the Bosniak people. "The situation in Republika Srpska is significantly better than in the FBiH by all qualitative indicators used to measure the condition of a social community," Župljanin emphasized. In recent days, the FBiH has been shaken by a series of scandals, "Spengovanje" as one of many, in which Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić has been implicated, as well as the sexual exploitation of two underage girls without parental care in Tuzla, where four police officers from the cantonal police administration are among eight suspects.
