NEW PERUTNINA PTUJ FACILITY WORTH BAM 15 MILLION OPENED
SRBAC, NOVEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić, Mayor of Srbac Mlađan Dragosavljević, and Director of the company Perutnina Ptuj Velibor Popović formally opened today in Srbac the company’s new production facility, an investment worth BAM 15 million.
Minić emphasized the importance of opening this production facility for the economic development of Srbac and Republika Srpska, noting that Perutnina Ptuj employs around 400 workers in Srbac. He emphasized that with the opening of the new production facility, 25 new workers will be employed, adding that 20 million broilers will be produced there. “The company Perutnina Ptuj Srbac, with its new production facility, serves as an ambassador of Republika Srpska, as it exports its products to neighboring countries. In doing so, it increases the gross domestic product and contributes to the development of Srpska,” Minić said at the opening ceremony. He noted that in the coming period, the authorities in Srpska will strive to further develop and expand poultry farming in Srbac, as well as throughout the entire Republic. Minić added that it is also important that this company sources feed for its production from domestic producers in Srpska. Dragosavljević said that the opening of the new facility of the company Perutnina Ptuj is of great importance both for Srbac and the company itself. According to him, the construction and equipping of this facility was a valuable investment, which shows that this company is one of the pillars of Srbac’s economic development. Popović said that Perutnina Ptuj employs around 400 workers in the municipality of Srbac and that the hatchery has a capacity to produce 27 million eggs per year. He added that the company continuously invests in staff training and knowledge development, and exports its products to neighboring countries and across Europe. The opening of the new production facility was also attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Republika Srpska, Anđelka Kuzmić, and the Minister of Finance, Zora Vidović.
