A PERSON ARRESTED IN ZVORNIK IN CONNECTION WITH THE "SNIPER" CASE

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - Members of the Administration for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Interior /MoI/ of Republika Srpska, in cooperation with the Zvornik Police Administration and the Gendarmerie, today arrested a person in the Zvornik area identified by the initials D.D.

The individual has been linked to membership in one of the organized criminal groups in the region, the MoI stated. As part of operational cooperation with police and security agencies from BiH and the surrounding region, information was obtained that the individual may be involved in planning and committing criminal acts against the safety of people and property. During the preparation and execution of these activities, cooperation and coordination were established with the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, the Security Information Agency of Serbia, and the Service for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia. Police officers of the Administration for Organized and Serious Crime obtained information that the individual is residing illegally in BiH and is using a false identity and forged documents from the Czech Republic. The Ministry of Interior continues to work on this case. The Ministry of Interior of Serbia previously announced that several individuals were arrested at multiple locations in Belgrade, Zvornik, and Banja Luka, who are linked to the "Sniper Case". At the beginning of the week, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that he has information that two snipers are in Belgrade, whom the competent authorities are searching for, and that while the target is still unknown, it is known who provided the money.
