DODIK IS DISLIKED BY BOSNIAKS BECAUSE HE STRONGLY DEFENDS SRPSKA

SARAJEVO, November 8 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik is disliked by Bosniak politicians because he strongly defends Republika Srpska, stated Sredoje Nović, the Chairman of the Serb Caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, in a comment to SRNA.

Nović was responding to SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović's call for Dodik to be "removed from political life." He said that the Bosniak elite still fails to understand that dialogue is the only way forward in BiH. He pointed out the contradictions in Izetbegović's statement: on one hand, Izetbegović says he is ready to talk with HDZ leader Dragan Čović because "the people elected him," but on the other hand, he demands Dodik's elimination-even though several hundred thousand citizens of Republika Srpska voted for him. "Apparently, he doesn't like Dodik because he strongly defends Republika Srpska. Such hatred is rarely born, and it does not contribute to BiH-on the contrary, it destroys its very foundation, which should rest on the equality of all three peoples and respect for the will expressed in the elections," Nović emphasized. According to him, Izetbegović and those like him are always disturbed by representatives from Republika Srpska who advocate dialogue and who love Republika Srpska. "At times, it seems as if the elections in Republika Srpska should produce results that suit his wishes. I believe that even then, that 'affection' would last only until the first turn. Let go of that approach. Show flexibility and respect toward others, no matter how little you value them," Nović concluded.
