COMPLETE TOURISM OFFER OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA PRESENTED AT THE THESSALONIKI FAIR
THESSALONIKI, NOVEMBER 14 /SRNA/ - The Tourism Organization of Republika Srpska /TORS/ is presenting the Srpska's full tourism offer at the 40th Philoxenia International Tourism Fair in Thessaloniki, with a special focus on skiing, rafting, canyoning, and other forms of active tourism that attract particular interest among Greek visitors.
TORS Public Relations Associate Sanela Šimun told SRNA that this year's fair also features the participation of the tourism organizations of Banjaluka, Trebinje, Istočno Sarajevo, and Foča, as well as the Jahorina Olympic Center, the Foča Rafters' Association, and the Herzegovinian House, which operates under Trebinje's Agrarian Fund. “We are carrying out the promotion of Republika Srpska’s tourism at this fair in Thessaloniki in cooperation with the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Thessaloniki and the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska,” Šimun said. In addition to presenting the current tourism offer of destinations in Republika Srpska at the fair, a large number of B2B meetings will be held with Greek agencies, tour operators, and other interested tourism stakeholders. "We can say that on the very first day, there is great interest among Greek tourists in Republika Srpska," Šimun said. She recalled that in the first nine months, 393,266 tourists visited Republika Srpska, achieving a total of 928,226 overnight stays. Šimun added that Republika Srpska recorded 4.4 percent more tourist arrivals and two percent more overnight stays compared to the same period last year. Mountain destinations recorded a three-percent increase in overnight stays, while spa destinations saw a 2.9-percent decline.
