JAHORINA, NOVEMBER 14 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska Denis Šulić says the situation at the Jahorina Olympic Centre has been stabilized, reminding that the Republika Srpska Government has taken over the Center's debt to commercial banks.

"We did this to relieve the Olympic Centre of its accumulated credit obligations so that it can focus on what it needs to do – preparing for both the winter and summer tourist seasons," Šulić said after an operational meeting on preparations for the upcoming season. Šulić expressed satisfaction with the much better communication on the Olympic mountain Jahorina – between the management of the Olympic Centre, hoteliers, and all those involved in ensuring a good and successful winter season. According to him, the outlook is good, and hoteliers report strong interest in reservations and packages on the Olympic beauty. "I am certain that this season we will record solid growth in both foreign and local tourist arrivals," Šulić emphasized, adding that further development will follow for both the Jahorina ski resort and the Igrišta resort. He noted that additional promotional campaigns have been carried out for the Igrišta ski resort in order to attract skiers.
