DODIK: SPECIAL POLICE WERE THE STRIKE FORCE IN THE DEFENSE OF SRPSKA

BIJELJINA, November 15 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said today in Bijeljina that the Special Police Brigade of the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska was the strike force of Srpska's defensive power, speaking at the ceremony marking the Day of the Brigade.

Dodik expressed his belief that such gatherings, where veterans of the Special Police Brigade come together after 30 years, send a strong message that they remain steadfast in defending the foundations of Republika Srpska - foundations they once defended with courage and heart. "They were wherever it was most difficult; many gave their lives. Gathering here today means paying tribute to them. We also want them to see that what they fought for was not in vain, that Republika Srpska today stands strong and stable," Dodik said. He added that Republika Srpska has improved its international standing, maintains good communication with all centers of power around the world, and now engages equally with all global partners. "This shows that their participation in the defense of the Republic, as well as our ongoing political struggle for the status of Republika Srpska, were not in vain. I believe the time is coming when we will further strengthen our position, which is already economically and socially stable," Dodik emphasized.
