PRESENTATION IN THESSALONIKI RECOGNISED, GREEKS INTERESTED IN ACTIVE TOURISM IN SRPSKA
BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 17 /SRNA/ – Greek tourists are showing particular interest in active tourism in Republika Srpska, which was the main focus of the presentation of Srpska’s tourism offer at the Philoxenia International Tourism Fair in Thessaloniki, where the presentation attracted significant attention, the Republika Srpska Tourism Organization told SRNA.
Public relations associate Sanela Šimun told SRNA that during the three days of Thessaloniki Fair, the entire Srpska tourism offer was presented, with a focus on skiing, rafting, canyoning, and other forms of active tourism. "In addition to the fair presentation of the current offers of our destinations, a large number of B2B meetings were held with Greek agencies, tour operators, and other interested tourism entities," Šimun said. She emphasized that the Tourism Organisation of Srpska received a certificate of appreciation from the General Consulate of Serbia in Thessaloniki and the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Greece, which is a special honour and an incentive to work with even greater dedication. She noted that the Republika Srpska Tourism Organisation’s stand was also visited by the Greek Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni, and expressed gratitude to the Serbia's Consul General in Thessaloniki, Jelena Vujić Obradović, and the head of the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Greece, Jelena Jovanović, for their trust and support. "This gesture acknowledges our joint efforts to strengthen economic, tourism, and cultural cooperation between Serbia, Republika Srpska, and Greece - cooperation that still has much room for growth and new initiatives," Šimun stated. Šimun recalled that this year's fair saw participation from the tourism organisations of Banja Luka, Trebinje, Istočno Sarajevo, and Foča, as well as the Jahorina Olympic Centre, the Herzegovina House operating under the Trebinje Agricultural Fund, and the Rafting Association of Foča. The promotion of tourism of Srpska at the Thessaloniki Fair was carried out in cooperation with the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Thessaloniki and the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska.
