DODIK: NO GROUNDS FOR REPEAT VOTING, WE REJECT OPPOSITION'S CLAIMS OF ELECTION IRREGULARITIES
BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has said today in Banja Luka that the party has no intention of filing complaints over results at individual polling stations, as the opposition wants to do, and that he rejects all their claims that irregularities occurred.
"We do not dispute that we lost by around 14,000 votes in Banja Luka, but we will not request repeat elections there. There will be no repeat voting in Doboj or anywhere else, because there were no irregularities," Dodik said at a press conference. He assessed that the greatest heroes of these elections are the people and SNSD voters who found the motivation, under the given circumstances, to contribute to the party's victory. Dodik stated that he is satisfied with the work of the SNSD structure on the ground and that the party will strive to become even more present, responsible, and dedicated. "We will conduct analyses and then move on to field activities, visiting our 2,400 local branches. We will speak with every branch president, and in March we plan to bring them all together and shape the winning policy that awaits us next year," Dodik said. He reiterated that SNSD proved to be a vital organization capable of achieving solid results even under extremely difficult circumstances. "We will continue addressing the issues that matter to people," Dodik said. He added that SNSD faced opposition from certain media outlets that were part of a broader, organized campaign. Dodik emphasized that SNSD will place greater focus on promotion through social media, which, he said, the public now consumes almost as much as electronic media. "We will pay close attention to fake news and tricks," Dodik said. He stressed that he will visit local branches and speak with their leadership, especially in areas where a degree of inertia was observed. "Some of our people did not want to vote because they saw the elections as imposed and didn't want to give them importance," Dodik stressed.
