MAYOR KORDIĆ'S VEHICLE SET ON FIRE
MOSTAR, NOVEMBER 26 /SRNA/ – The official vehicle of Mostar Mayor Mario Kordić was set on fire in Mostar, and Kordić says the incident is a consequence of a growing narrative of hatred, but stresses that it will not stop him.
The incident, which occurred last night, was immediately reported to the police, and an investigation is under way. "In recent times we've been witnessing an organized effort to create a narrative of hatred and attacks on my work simply because I am protecting the interests of Mostar," Kordić stated. Such narrative, Kordić says, carries consequences, and this event clearly shows the goal of those who are fueling it. "It is unfortunate that we have reached a point where we must seek police protection simply for doing our job, but this will not stop us," Kordić wrote. He added that he will continue working diligently, responsibly, and solely in the interest of Mostar. Kordić also said that once the investigation is completed, the public will be promptly informed of all findings.
