KOVAČ: TRAP SET BY SARAJEVO AND FOREIGN POWER CENTERS SUCCESSFULLY AVOIDED
BELGRADE, NOVEMBER 26 /SRNA/ – Director of the Eurasian Security Forum Mitar Kovač told SRNA that the policy which has preserved Republika Srpska over past decades prevailed in the early presidential election, adding that ahead of the next regular elections, all political actors should reach a consensus on key national interests in order to avoid traps that are already being prepared.
Kovač said that consensus on essential national interests is needed to prevent political actors from Republika Srpska from falling under the influence of foreign power centers and political Sarajevo, which promotes a so-called "civic BiH," something that would endanger the fundamental values of Srpska. He believes that in the future it would be desirable for political actors in Republika Srpska to establish a document defining minimal national interests, which would then be adopted by the parliament. "During the period leading up to the regular elections, it would be beneficial to achieve consensus among all relevant political actors on national interests, so that foreign political actors cannot manipulate the will of the Serb people through familiar divisions," Kovač emphasized. He assessed that the fact Christian Schmidt remains on BiH’s political scene is no longer as important as the fact that he was exposed in the UN Security Council. "What matters is that it has been revealed that this is the arbitrariness of several leading EU countries, who want to impose a globalist narrative at the BiH level," Kovač said, noting that Schmidt will no longer be able to impose his will as freely as before. He stressed that a unified and integrated response by all relevant political structures means that no one should be making political arrangements with Schmidt, who is counting on that together with political Sarajevo. "One of the national goals is to end cooperation with the so-called high representative, because he is the one who, together with the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, alters the will of the people, that is, he intimidates and imposes arbitrary decisions on Republika Srpska and the Serb people," Kovač pointed out.
