CVIJANOVIĆ: WITH ITS IMMATURE BEHAVIOR, SARAJEVO WILL ONLY HARM ITSELF
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 26 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović stated that Sarajevo’s ban on the landing of Hungarian officials in Banja Luka and the calls to boycott Hungarian products represent immature behavior by Sarajevo that will harm no one but itself.
"Once again, Sarajevo is lost in time and space. The Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, thinks he is defending the state by banning the landing of Hungarian officials; but, in reality, he is only further disgracing it and causing damage, both domestically and internationally," Cvijanović emphasized. Cvijanović said that their habit of lecturing others had always been pathetic and had long since turned into something absurd. "Just like these Sarajevo calls to boycott Hungarian products. This is immature behavior that will harm no one but them," Cvijanović wrote on X. Cvijanović pointed out that their fundamental problem is Republika Srpska, which they refuse to acknowledge and which they are trying to confront indirectly, through others. "But they must understand that it exists, that it will continue to exist, and that it will keep defending its rights and autonomy. They also need to know that not everyone in the world is spineless and can be intimidated by their hysterical whining," Cvijanović said. She emphasized that Republika Srpska will continue to demonstrate leadership and build relations with others in accordance with its political and economic interests. “Whether Sarajevo likes it or not,” Cvijanović added. Media outlets in the Federation of BiH reported that Helez refused to allow the plane carrying Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó to land in Banja Luka because of his long-standing support for Dodik, also noting calls for protests and a boycott of Hungarian products.
