DODIK: SRPSKA HAS ENERGY AND DETERMINATION TO FIGHT FOR ITS STATUS

BUDAPEST, NOVEMBER 26 /SRNA/ - SNSD president Milorad Dodik stated during a lecture at the Mathias Corvinus Collegium in Budapest that BiH is an unsuccessful country full of absurdities, but that Srpska has the energy and will to fight for its status and redefine itself in times of global challenges.

"Republika Srpska has been struggling because of BiH for 30 years. They have taken away our competencies and transferred them to the BiH level, which threatens the survival of BiH," Dodik emphasized. He emphasized that Republika Srpska supports a constitutional BiH and does not accept anything beyond that. "We want a constitutional /BiH/, we do not want an unconstitutional one," Dodik said, to thunderous applause in a packed conference hall. Dodik pointed out that he belongs to a group of people whom the judiciary has abused to turn BiH into a unitary state. He stated that he was prosecuted based on the decision of a foreigner from Germany, who presents himself as the High Representative, even though he was not appointed by the Security Council. That foreigner, Dodik says, imposed a decision stating that anyone who does not respect him would be sentenced to prison, and that he was prosecuted by Bosniaks based on that decision. "I was sentenced to one year in prison and banned from political activity for six years," Dodik said. He emphasized that Srpska now has a new president, Siniša Karan, and that his team continues to work, consistently winning elections. Speaking about the EU, Dodik stated that Brussels wants Republika Srpska to blindly support their policies, which is unacceptable. He added that the world and Europe have fallen into serious problems, and that today there is no Europe of justice and freedom. "Europe has no leaders, except /Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor/ Orbán, and is very dependent," Dodik said. He emphasized that Europe today is not competitive and lacks development programs, which also changes Republika Srpska’s view on how to act going forward. He pointed out that Srpska is a traditional society based on family values. Regarding the United States, Dodik said that Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election gives hope. "We believe that Trump will succeed in consolidating power in the U.S.," Dodik stated, adding that Srpska has felt the harmful impact of Joseph Biden’s administration. He believes that the world is undergoing a complete reorganization and that Europe is carrying out its previous projects perfunctorily. "For us, the operation carried out by the Russians in Ukraine was entirely reasonable," Dodik said, adding that the decision taken by Russian President Vladimir Putin was aimed at protecting Russia’s national interests. He stated that he is pleased with the plan for a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. Dodik noted that Srpska today looks to its alliance with Serbia, which is a signatory to the Dayton Agreement.
