CALL FOR KONAKOVIĆ TO STOP BANAL RUSOPHOBIC RHETORIC

SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 26 /SRNA/ – The Russian Embassy in BiH has called on Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, to put an end to his banal Russophobic rhetoric.

"We call on Elmedin Konaković to stop his banal Russophobic rhetoric, to assess the situation soberly, and to use the existing opportunities constructively to build mutually beneficial relations between Russia and BiH, instead of torpedoing them, which does not serve the interests of our friendly peoples," the Embassy stated. Referring to Konaković’s claim that SNSD, led by Milorad Dodik, is a "Russian submarine," the Embassy said that this is Konaković’s obsessive-compulsive idea, noting that he would not have been appointed to his ministerial position without Dodik’s consent. "He came to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs precisely on a Russian submarine, because without the consent of the SNSD’s ‘captain,’ Milorad Dodik, Konaković would not have become the ‘boatman’ of the Ministry. Therefore, welcome aboard the Russian submarine, Mr. Konaković!" the Russian Embassy in BiH said.
