DODIK: BECAUSE OF MOVES SUCH AS HELEZ'S, BiH CANNOT EXIST

BUDAPEST, NOVEMBER 26 /SRNA/ - SNSD president Milorad Dodik said that the decision of the Defense Minister in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, to ban the landing of the plane carrying Hungary’s Foreign Minister, Péter Szijjártó, in Banja Luka is undermining BiH, and that the country cannot even exist because of such actions.

Dodik stated that no minister can act unilaterally. “Then they wonder why people hold different views toward them. They are destroying BiH, and the version they want to impose will never be imposed,” Dodik said. He emphasized that Republika Srpska doesn't need such a BiH and that Serb representatives at the joint level should stop participating in decision-making. “That they /Bosniaks]/ are banning our friends from landing at Banja Luka Airport. This is not their airport; it is the airport of Republika Srpska,” Dodik told reporters in Budapest. In an era of freedom of movement, Dodik said, Bosniaks are deciding who can and who cannot enter. Emphasizing that Szijjártó is the foreign minister of Hungary, a sovereign state and a member of the EU and NATO, Dodik asked what would happen to the Serbs. “They think they have spited Dodik and Szijjártó, whom we invited as a guest. We do not need such a BiH. Alija /Izetbegović/ rightly told them that if they cannot build a democratic country, they do not deserve one. This is proof that they cannot,” Dodik said. He said that Helez’s move is unbelievable and unacceptable. “This is a scandal! This is not the European path; this is a road to nowhere,” Dodik concluded.
