REPUBLIKA SRPSKA IS TITULAR OWNER OF ALL PROPERTY ON ITS TERRITORY

SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 28 /SRNA/ — Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac stated that the property of Republika Srpska is a Serb national issue and that Republika Srpska is the titular owner of all property located on its territory.

SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 28 /SRNA/ — Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac stated that the property of Republika Srpska is a Serb national issue and that Republika Srpska is the titular owner of all property located on its territory.

Košarac emphasized that the property issue was resolved by the Dayton Agreement and the Geneva Principles, which clearly stipulate that Republika Srpska administers 49 percent of the territory. "Srpska is determined to defend and preserve its property, which was reaffirmed at yesterday’s session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly. Serb deputies demonstrated unity by rejecting the tendentious proposal of the so-called state property law," Košarac told SRNA. He assessed that Serbian unity is the best way to protect the vital interests of Srpska and its constitutional capacities. "The Bosniak proposal of the so-called state property law is not a solution; it is an unsolvable problem for BiH. They are fully aware that Srpska will never agree to surrender its property, because it is guaranteed by the Dayton Agreement," Košarac stressed. He pointed out that Bosniak politicians know their law on the so-called state property will never pass, yet they continue to push it through the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, hoping ultimately to provoke an unconstitutional and unlawful intervention by the illegitimate high representative Christian Schmidt. "Gentlemen, be extremely careful with that. This is a dangerous downward path for BiH from which there will be no way back. The property of Srpska is a red line. It is sacred to us, and we will defend it at any cost," Košarac said. The House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly will consider the Draft Law on State Property in regular procedure, since yesterday the chamber failed to secure an entity majority that would allow debate under urgent or expedited procedure.
