BiH CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HAS NO JURISDICTION OVER APPEAL CONCERNING ASSESSMENT OF CONSTITUTIONALITY OF ELECTION OF SRPSKA'S GOVERNMENT

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 28 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Justice Minister Goran Selak expects the Constitutional Court of BiH to declare itself non-competent regarding the appeal concerning the assessment of the constitutionality of the election of the Republika Srpska Government, because it has no such competence.

Selak said that this is clear to anyone who has read the Constitution of Republika Srpska. He noted that the Constitutional Court had taken the same position in earlier cases concerning appeals related to the election of the Republika Srpska Government. "We expect them to dismiss such an appeal. We hope there is still some professionalism left in that court, and that it will declare itself non-competent," Selak told reporters in Banja Luka after the session of the Republika Srpska Government.
