AULIĆ: INCIDENT IN SKENDERIJA IS DIRECT RESULT OF SARAJEVO'S POLITICS

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 2 /SRNA/ – Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković keeps trying to defend the indefensible, and only digs himself deeper with every justification, SNSD Main Board member Saša Aulić told SRNA.

Aulić added that the only thing left for Konaković is to openly admit that he hates Serbia and Serbs. "I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was jumping and shouting with the hooligans in Skenderija the night before last during Serbia's anthem. In any case, that incident is a direct consequence of Sarajevo's politics and what Konaković and other agitators like him promote. Such people are capable of justifying every Serbophobic incident by referring to events from 30 years ago," Aulić stressed. Aulić recalled that the same justifications Konaković is using now were invoked in Sarajevo last year when children from Novi Sad were attacked with metal rods, as well as the year before when young football players from Belgrade and the mother of one of them were attacked with a knife. "Anyone who thinks war is an excuse for verbal or physical attacks 30 years later only proves that they are permanently trapped in that period, and that it is impossible to build a shared future with such people," Aulić concluded. Yesterday, Konaković told SRNA that he will not apologize to the citizens of Serbia for the shameful chanting in Sarajevo during the basketball game between the national teams of Serbia and BiH, and he accused Serbia of "provocations and assaults on the integrity and sovereignty of BiH". Konaković claims that the shameful chanting was justified, stating that Serbia can expect a different attitude only when "it stops protecting and extradites those indicted for war crimes to BiH," and when it "begins to respect the rulings of international courts".
