CVIJANOVIĆ: NO SOVEREIGNITY WHILE PIC EXISTS AND SCHMIDT REMAINS IN OFFICE
SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović has said that authority must be returned to democratic institutions, the rule of law must be genuinely established, and it must be acknowledged that BiH can function only through dialogue and the will of its constituent peoples, not through unregulated foreign intervention.
Commenting on part of the joint statement issued by the so-called Peace Implementation Council (PIC), which called for reforms aimed at strengthening BiH’s sovereignty, Cvijanović stated that this "can only be achieved by dissolving the PIC, sending Christian Schmidt back home, and abolishing the so-called Bonn Powers, which have been used for unconstitutional centralization and maintaining a model of colonial governance in BiH". "Only then will sovereignty exist. Otherwise, everything is just phraseology or a convenient choice of words without any real substance", Cvijanović wrote on the social network X.
