EU NARRATIVE MASKS EFFORTS TO REPLACE DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 11 /SRNA/ – Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac has warned that behind the mantra of Sarajevo politicians about the path to the EU lies a clear intention to install someone from the opposition in Republika Srpska as deputy chair, in order to enable the Council of Ministers to adopt decisions without the consent of Republika Srpska.

He said that the "sleazy and hypocritical" talk from Sarajevo that appointing a security minister from the opposition in Srpska would help advance the European path, is false. "They object to the practice we have established and from which we have not deviated by even a millimeter - no item can be placed on the agenda of the Council of Ministers without prior support and a positive opinion from the institutions of Srpska," Košarac said. He stressed that Srpska has a say in Sarajevo, and that this is what bothers both Sarajevo and Christian Schmidt. "They want someone who will be obedient to Schmidt and Sarajevo. I do not listen to Sarajevo or Schmidt, whom I do not recognize. I listen to the institutions of Srpska and implement the policies of Srpska within the institutions of BiH," Košarac wrote on Instagram. He emphasized that the policy of Serb ministers in the Council of Ministers is the policy of Republika Srpska, and that everything harmonized with its institutions receives support at the joint level.
