WITHELD ELECTION RESULTS DEMOSTRATE ONGOING PRESSURE ON SRPSKA

OBUDOVAC, DECEMBER 12 /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić has stated that all developments surrounding the non-publication of the results of the early presidential election represent a continued pattern of pressure on Srpska, warning that the results might remain unpublished even as the campaign for next year's general elections begins.

"Each passing day this looks more and more tragic; it exceeds all reasonable limits. You have a very simple election - a single ballot, low voter turnout - and then you have everything that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH and political Sarajevo are doing," Minić told reporters in Obudovac. According to him, the only proper address for the question of why the ballots have not yet been counted is the CEC. "We are heading toward a situation where we will not have published the election results, yet we will already be entering the campaign for the 2026 general elections," Minić warned. He reiterated that, as far as he and the Government of Republika Srpska are concerned, the election process is completed, that they are performing their duties in full capacity, and that he is not concerned with anything else. Noting that federal-level media deal Republika Srpska on a daily basis, Minić asked: what kind of media storm would have erupted if someone from Republika Srpska had blocked activities related to the opening of the new border crossing in Gradiška? "They push us to think that there is no real possibility of reaching an agreement, because everything decided at the level of BiH is a direct attack on the institutions of Republika Srpska," Minić stressed.
