ČUBRILOVIĆ: THERE IS NO PLAYING GAMES WITH REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 25 /SRNA/ – President of DEMOS Nedeljko Čubrilović said that, should the snap presidential elections be repeated at 136 polling stations, it must be shown that no one can play games with Republika Srpska.

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 25 /SRNA/ – President of DEMOS Nedeljko Čubrilović said that, should the snap presidential elections be repeated at 136 polling stations, it must be shown that no one can play games with Republika Srpska.

"The will of the citizens must be fully expressed, and the current governing position has the capacity to deliver that," Čubrilović told reporters in Banja Luka after a meeting of the ruling coalition in Republika Srpska. He stressed that the ruling coalition in Republika Srpska will call on citizens to turn out in as large numbers as possible for the repeated elections and support their candidate, Siniša Karan. "Only these people can determine the outcome we desire, and that is the victory of Siniša Karan," Čubrilović said. Čubrilović noted that the ruling coalition in Republika Srpska has once again found itself in a situation no one had hoped for. He expects that appeals against the decision will be rejected and emphasized that the coalition must be prepared and that its candidate must achieve a larger margin than shown by the previous results. The Central Election Commission of BiH adopted yesterday a non-final decision to annul the snap elections for President of Republika Srpska at 136 polling stations in 17 electoral units. The early elections were annulled at certain polling stations in Prijedor, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Doboj, Stanari, Lopare, Ugljevik, Osmaci, Vlasenica, Zvornik, Bratunac, Nevesinje, Gacko, Rudo, Bileća, Milići and Brčko.
