MINIĆ: BiH A SYSTEM THAT DOES NOT FUNCTION
BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 27 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Savo Minić told SRNA that BiH is a system that does not function, which, he said, could also be proven by the example of opening the border crossing in Gradiška, when one person blocked the start of operations at a facility that benefits everyone in BiH.
“You can see what kind of system we live in. It’s not just one man, it’s the system. In that system, any individual can appear as an obstruction. It’s a demonstration of force, but also proof that this does not work,” Minić said in the SRNA podcast. He asked what would have happened if a Serb had done the same thing. “There would probably have been calls for bombing. The least that could have been done was for someone to put up a billboard with that man’s phone number,” Minić said. Speaking about the BiH we live in, Minić stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the Council of Ministers did not forward notice of his transit through Croatia, which is why he was stopped in that country. “You can then imagine what it would be like if Republika Srpska needed help if they fail to forward a simple document announcing a transit,” Minić noted. He emphasized that everything is done deliberately and that through constant tensions and attacks on the institutions of Republika Srpska, a crisis is being produced that negatively affects citizens’ thinking, as they have become burdened with political topics. “The institution of the president, the Government, and others are being attacked by a series of illegal and illegitimate individuals. I don’t know if it’s even worth repeating anymore. I’ve said it a hundred times: someone comes who was not appointed in accordance with the rules and, outside of all regulations, amends the Criminal Code, and then the Court of BiH rules on that basis with the sole aim of eliminating President Milorad Dodik as a central figure because he opposes such behaviour and protects the interests of Srpska, its institutions, and its citizens,” Minić stressed Speaking about these absurdities, he recalled that the Constitutional Court had previously not been competent regarding the election of the Government, but is now considering such an appeal. “Look at what they are doing in the Central Election Commission. They want to drag out the election of the President of the Republic as long as possible and, if they succeed, to undermine the legitimacy of the Government. The next operation is against the National Assembly,” Minić pointed out. He says that the opposition has accepted this process, as well as everything that has been done over the past 20 years, in order to come to power. “At this moment, it is important to protect the institutions of Republika Srpska. We have elections next year. So what is all this for?” Minić asked. He says it is high time to talk about other important topics such as the economy, protection of the family, and other life-related values, rather than dealing with populist issues. “I spoke with young people, especially those living in rural areas, and you see healthy families there and a desire to stay. They clearly say: this is my home, and we will live here,” Minić said. He believes that more and more young people want to return to villages or, in some way, remain connected to them because of a healthy lifestyle. “It’s a complex process. You can see how much migration and departure there is,” Minić noted. He said that Western countries are not the promised land for living and that they face numerous problems, from financial to basic existential ones. “There are many anomalies there that destroy the family. However, unfortunately, there will always be migration. No one should be condemned for seeking an opportunity. I have many friends who left. I talk to them and they will never return,” Minić said. He has added that there are also anomalies in Srpska when it comes to employment in public institutions and staffing solutions. “It is necessary to ensure a standard whereby someone who has properly completed their education and invested in themselves can, through their work, secure income that enables a normal life. A negative effect occurs when someone has invested in themselves and their education but does not have a job that provides everything they want. We must understand people, their dreams, and give everyone a chance,” Minić emphasized. He pointed out that these areas have always been characterized by conflicts, which caused people to leave and harmed the economy. “We must keep our people here,” Minić concluded.
