DODIK WELCOMES DECISION ON US WITHDRAWAL FROM A NUMBER OF INTERNATIONAL QUASI-INSTITUTIONS

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 8 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik welcomed the decision of US President Donald Trump and the United States to withdraw from a number of international quasi-institutions which, he says, have for years been abused as lobbying and pressure groups of now-defeated neoliberal projects.

Dodik stressed that this decision demonstrates President Trump's consistency in returning sovereignty to the states and peoples to which it belongs. "That is why it is extremely significant, and I believe that it is not the last and that others will follow that will go in that direction," Dodik wrote on X. He emphasized that, under the guise of false multilateralism, these structures across the globe have undermined the sovereignty of states and, even more dangerously, the democratic will of peoples. "Wherever citizens democratically chose a different path, mechanisms of demonization, labeling, and the denial of basic rights to entire peoples were activated," Dodik stated. He pointed out that Republika Srpska has felt this most clearly through its own experience - through attempts to influence political processes beyond elections, institutions, and the will of the people, to delegitimize elected representatives, and to challenge Srpska's right to decide for itself. "That is why this move is not a weakening, but a strengthening of states - a return of politics to the people and of sovereignty above deranged bureaucracies that have given themselves the right to stand above everyone and to play a role in international relations for which they were never given a term," Dodik stressed.
