ĐOKIĆ: HELEZ'S STATEMENT - THREAT TO PEACE AND ATTACK ON THE DAYTON

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 11 /SRNA/ – Leader of the Socialist Party /SP/ Petar Đokić says that the statement by Zukan Helez, Minister of Defence in the Council of Ministers, about abolishing the entities in BiH is an open threat to peace and a direct attack on the Dayton Peace Agreement.

"Republika Srpska is permanent and indisputable, created by the will of the people and confirmed by international law, and I am certain that both he and official Sarajevo are aware of this," Đokić emphasized. He stressed that anyone who attempts to challenge the legitimacy of Republika Srpska must know that by doing so they provoke serious consequences and destabilize the country, the Socialist Party announced. "Republika Srpska will not be abolished, nor will it ever be the subject of reckless debates by people such as Zukan Helez. Next time, he should think carefully before again uttering words that offend the Serb people and threaten peace in BiH. Such provocations will never pass without reaction," Đokić underlined. Helez recently stated that the time has come to begin a serious debate on abolishing the entities in BiH.
