DODIK: 30 PERCENT OF SKELANI’S POPULATION KILLED IN SINGLE DAY, THIS MUST NOT BE FORGOTTEN
SKELANI, JANUARY 16 /SRNA/ – SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated today that in Skelani, 30 percent of the population was killed in a single day and that this must never be forgotten.
Dodik emphasized that only criminals can kill 30 percent of the population of one place, stating that such forces were led and commanded by Naser Orić. "As human beings, we must not forget the suffering in which even children were killed simply because they were Serbs and of the Orthodox faith. We must remember that they chose to kill Serbs on our religious holidays," Dodik said in Skelani, where a memorial service was held for the 69 people killed on this day 33 years ago. Dodik assessed that blind foreigners and politically motivated judiciary institutions in Sarajevo fail to recognize the crime committed against Serbs in Skelani. "The Court of BiH has no constitutional basis; it exists solely to persecute Serbs," Dodik stressed, adding that all Serbs sought by international and domestic courts for war crimes are now in prisons, many of them unjustly. He noted that Sarajevo does not hesitate to prosecute the President of the Republic and that once they believe they have achieved something, they calm down as they have now, only to resume, in the coming years, the prosecution of one of the most prominent among Serbs over nothing. "The world is in total disorder, and here they want to fully incorporate us and subordinate us to Sarajevo as a political center of power that will conceal such crimes," Dodik said. He expressed confidence that their end has come, and that it is up to the Serbian people to decide whether they will remain an object of their ambitions or gather together and say they do not want to live with those who protect criminals. Dodik added that Republika Srpska has done more than it could in terms of supporting the families of fallen soldiers, but that there are still those who need assistance, which will continue to be provided. He pointed out that efforts are being made to ensure housing for them, as many were forced to leave their homes and many properties were burned. "Over the years, Republika Srpska has resolved housing issues for more than 50,000 residential units and, through non-refundable housing construction assistance, has helped an additional 30,000 families, which shows that we did not hesitate," Dodik emphasized. Dodik also noted that every year the budget of Republika Srpska includes allocations for supporting families of fallen soldiers. He stated that it is most important to maintain support for those leading Republika Srpska, because it represents security for everyone. "Rally around Republika Srpska," Dodik concluded.
