AGREEMENT WITH ISRAEL TO BECOME VISIBLE IN COMING MONTHS

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 30 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik stated that Israel is one of Republika Srpska’s major global partners, and that specific agreements with the country regarding status issues will become known in the coming months.

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 30 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik stated that Israel is one of Republika Srpska’s major global partners, and that specific agreements with the country regarding status issues will become known in the coming months.

"In Israel, it is also considered unacceptable to violate the Dayton Agreement, to treat it as if it no longer exists, or to ignore it entirely. The repositioning of Republika Srpska must be carried out through a deeper understanding of our position in key places around the world," Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka. Dodik announced that he expects the Israeli Minister for the Diaspora, as well as other prominent members of the Jewish community living in the United States, to visit Gradina for the commemoration of the anniversary of the prisoner breakout from the Ustasha camp Jasenovac. He emphasized that Israel clearly understands that the Dayton Agreement has failed due to the actions of the High Representatives, the BiH Constitutional Court, and the BiH Court. "Israel is imbued with understanding toward Republika Srpska, the Serbian people, friendship, and the recognition of suffering during World War II," Dodik said. He called on the Serbian people to become aware of the threats facing Republika Srpska, noting that it has not been enough for them to attempt to undermine the office of the Republika Srpska President, pointing out cases of people being prosecuted for raising three fingers or displaying images of historical Serbian figures, as well as attempts to seize church property in the Federation of BiH, which is labeled as "state property of BiH". "There is no such entity as an owner called the State of BiH. This is another degradation and dismantling of everything that BiH was supposed to be under the false Dayton framework," Dodik concluded.
