VULIĆ: CONSTITUTIONAL-LEGAL COMMITTEE CONFIRMED THAT SCHMIDT IS NOT HIGH REPRESENTATIVE BUT DESTROYER OF THE DAYTON

SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 13 /SRNA/ – Head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Sanja Vulić told SRNA that through its adopted conclusions, the Constitutional-Legal Committee confirmed that Christian Schmidt is not a High Representative but a destroyer of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Dayton-based BiH.

After the Constitutional-Legal Committee at today's session adopted a conclusion stating that the High Representative does not have constitutional authority to pass laws, which renders unconstitutional the provisions of the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, Vulić noted that all previous high representatives' interventions in BiH legislation had to be confirmed by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. Vulić also recalled that she had submitted a parliamentary question requesting information on when and at which session of the House of Representatives or the House of Peoples the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH discussed or adopted the amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH published in the Official Gazette of BiH No. 47/23. She received a response in February of last year that those amendments had never been considered at sessions of either houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. "The Advisory Board of Secretaries of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH confirmed that the amendments to Article Four of the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH were never proposed, initiated, nor discussed in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH," Vulić said. She concluded that the Constitutional-Legal Committee acted professionally.
