IN HONOR OF SRETENJE, THE REPUBLIC PALACE ILLUMINATED IN COLORS OF FLAGS OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA AND SERBIA

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 13 /SRNA/ - Tonight, the Republic Palace in Banja Luka is being illuminated in the colors of the flags of Republika Srpska and Serbia, on the occasion of Sretenje/Candlemass, Statehood Day of Republika Srpska and Statehood Day of Serbia.

The palace will be illuminated in the same way over the next two days. Republika Srpska is celebrating Sretenje/Candlemass as Statehood Day through a series of events under the slogan "Unity and Pride." Republika Srpska and the Republic of Serbia established the joint celebration of Sretenje as Statehood Day through the Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Common Future of the Serbian People, adopted at the All-Serbian Assembly in Belgrade in June 2024.
