FLYNN: WE ARE NOT ADMIRERS OF EU, DECISIONS ARE MADE BY UNELECTED INDIVIDUALS

BANJA LUKA, MARCH3 /SRNA/ - American general and former US National Security Advisor Michael Flynn stated that, as an American, he does not like the European Union /EU/, describing it as a body of arrogant bureaucrats.

BANJA LUKA, MARCH3 /SRNA/ - American general and former US National Security Advisor Michael Flynn stated that, as an American, he does not like the European Union /EU/, describing it as a body of arrogant bureaucrats.

"We are not admirers of the EU. They make decisions that affect a significant part of the world. They represent around 300 million people. Most people do not like such decisions. People pay high taxes and have to bow to them," Flynn said during a lecture at the headquarters of the Government of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka. He said that the EU makes decisions that affect everyone's lives and added that a new model of cooperation and decision-making needs to be sought. "They make decisions about your lives, about you in this room. Who gives them that right and what are they concerned about? I am speaking from the heart now. What the American people do not like is that kind of corruption," Flynn emphasized. He stated that nations in Europe need decisions, noting that the United States has tense relations with certain countries. "I am not speaking only about Iran. I pray that everything turns out well. We can no longer continue down this path where someone makes decisions without being elected. We must seek new models and political ideas. Otherwise, we will remain in constant conflict," Flynn concluded.
