NEW SRPSKA GOVERNMENT LEGAL AND FORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL CONSTITUTIONAL PROCEDURES
BANJA LUKA, MARCH 21 /SRNA/ - The new Government of Republika Srpska, led by Prime Minister Savo Minić, is legal and was elected in accordance with all constitutional procedures, Chairperson of the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples Srebrenka Golić told SRNA.
Golić stated that information appearing in certain media outlets alleging that the new Government of Republika Srpska is illegal is incorrect, arbitrary and malicious. "I am particularly shocked by the statement of a professor who presents himself as an expert in constitutional law. If he had any doubts that something had not gone through a constitutionally prescribed procedure, we are open to all media, and he could have reviewed the complete documentation and established that none of what he stated is true," Golić stressed. Golić reminded that after the resignation of Prime Minister Savo Minić was adopted by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, it was forwarded to the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples, which within the constitutionally prescribed timeframe determined that there was no vital national interest in relation to the Prime Minister’s resignation. "The day after that, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska debated and voted on the new government led by Prime Minister Savo Minić. After the debate was completed, the materials were delivered in the evening hours to the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples," Golić pointed lout. According to her, the following day these materials were forwarded to all Clubs of delegates in the Council of Peoples, who concluded that there was no violation of the vital national interest in the election of the new Government of Republika Srpska. "After the voting process within the clubs was completed, the Secretariat of the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska informed the National Assembly in writing that no mechanism for the protection of vital national interest had been invoked by any of the constituent peoples in the Council of Peoples. After that, the National Assembly submitted the decision to the Official Gazette of Republika Srpska for publication," Golić explained. Golić stressed that inaccurate claims made without verification are unworthy of someone presenting themselves as an expert in constitutional law. "The Government of Savo Minić has shown that it is in accordance with the Constitution of Republika Srpska, and it includes five ministers of Bosniak nationality, eight ministers of Serb nationality, and three ministers of Croat nationality," Golić stressed. She concluded that the entire constitutional procedure for the election of the new Government of Republika Srpska was conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of Republika Srpska and the Rules of Procedure of the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples. The National Assembly of Republika Srpska elected the new Government led by Prime Minister Savo Minić on March 17, which has the same composition as the previous one.
