DODIK: ORBAN ACKNOWLEDGED MY WORK, I FELT PROUD AS A SERB PATRIOT
BUDAPEST, MARCH 21 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said he is pleased with the recognition Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed today regarding everything he has endured in BiH in the past period.
"I felt like a proud Serb patriot-having a great leader of the Hungarian people recognize everything we are doing. Orban noted that others would have found it difficult to endure what I have endured and that they would have collapsed long ago. It is important that such contributions are recognized and valued", Dodik emphasized. Dodik said this is something that should indeed be noted, expressing hope that others will also see and recognize the way the struggle for Republika Srpska is being conducted. The SNSD leader thanked all his associates and everyone who has supported the politics he leads, stressing that in life, as in politics, sometimes things are easy and sometimes difficult. "But if you are persistent, resilient, and know what you want and where you need to go, success will certainly not be lacking," Dodik told reporters in Budapest. Dodik added that everything he heard at the Conservative Political Action Conference is an indication of success that will be ensured in the future. He noted that the gathering is organized within US and Hungarian efforts to promote shared values. He also emphasized that he has been friends with Orban for years and expressed gratitude for the recognition the Hungarian prime minister extended to him for his contributions and experiences in BiH. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban welcomed Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik at the CPAC conference in Budapest, one of the most important international gatherings of conservative and sovereigntist political leaders. Addressing conference participants, Orban referred to Dodik as his friend and said that "Republika Srpska leader Dodik deserves a special title due to the political pressures he has been exposed to". "Milorad Dodik deserves the title of the greatest political survivor - of US sanctions, German coercion, and Bosniak harassment," Orban said. The Hungarian Prime Minister added that the political pressures Dodik has faced for years are something few could withstand.
